As with many other designers, the dream is to be able to audition and be cast on Project Runway.
Darcy, the designer behind DARCY, has auditioned for the show about a year ago. On that journey, she learned you have to have a few basic capabilities to be considered for the show.
The rules are no secret. They are part of the audition process paperwork, in fact.
How to get on Project Runway:
Memorize pattern making and ruler measurements: you aren't allowed to bring a book for patterns or your own tape measure
Be versatile: you cannot just make one thing and be great at that. You need to know all types of styles, materials, techniques.
