As a Nashville native, I've lived here for over 20 years.
The city has changed, as one might expect through decades. When I was a teen, the city was empty.
Driving my '00 Volkswagen Beetle through the backroads of Franklin, I found Nashville. No one was on the streets. Businesses were not as well known.
Now, in 2020, that has changed. You might be visiting for a bachelorette party, or maybe even to scope out your next destination to live. Here's some help on how we dress.
No - We Don't Wear Cowboy Boots
The easiest way to stand out as a tourist is in cowboy boots. Natives
don't wear that. If you want to have fun... go for it!
Yes - We Do Wear Raincoats
It rains almost every day here in Nashville. Just check out the past weather trends. It is a tradition to rain on the 4th of July, and the city has basically become the new Florida. A swamp. Enjoy! If you are a celebrity visiting, get decked out in a comfortable, high-end DARCY coat instead of walking around in an embarrassing poncho.
Hope this helps, y'all! :)
