Re-shoring
Textiles
Transparency
Waterproof materials are one of the hardest textiles to make sustainable, considering their incorporation of plastics to remain resistant to elements.
Re-shoring is the number one way to be sustainable. DARCY is currently making networking decisions that last long term: not only for our brand, but for the Earth. Long term decisions for our brand means the utmost quality that lasts the buyer years in her closet. Our customer cherishes her clothes, so we do, too. Not only that, we are making these networking decisions to re-shore to the U.S.A. made brands of waterproofing material.
Textiles with DARCY are taken very seriously. The way this impacts the Earth is our conscious decision not to throw away too many scraps, utilizing them in designs.
Lastly, transparency: we make an effort to share all our new textiles through tutorial videos explaining our fabrics and how you can choose your own as a fellow designer.
