Rising stars in the music industry are younger than ever. With up-and-coming artists like Avenue Beat, Maggie Baugh and more becoming sensations, it's a good idea to watch style trends for the teenage demographic.
We've noticed trends like long tees and shorts (a given for the younger demo these days) but what else can you add to your wardrobe as a young star?
Crop tops
We've written about this before. It's one of our favorite options.
Crop tops are essential to showing off many body types. Perfectly contouring your shape with high-wasited pants, the crop easily fits into any wardrobe of any age.
Colorful clothing
You have to be bold for this one, but hear us out. Neon is totally back - you've seen it all over Pinterest. The 90's era neon jazzercise is back whether you like it or not. And, hey, you might just look good in it. Personally, I was so against it. Then I tried on the dreaded neon pink... and wow, does my pale skin pop. I love it. I'm now a believer. Just try it. Trust us. Meghan Linsey of The Voice is seen in the photo above flashing her neon colors! You could look like her, too.
Jackets/Layers
Again, a classic. Nothing new. But you, local up-and-comer, need that DARCY jacket essential to go with your layered look this fall. Think about all the styles you could be combining - plaid long shirt with[rain] jacket, shorts with [rain] jacket. The list goes on. And the FOMO is real. Image right, you will see Alyssa Trahan, local Nashville musician, rocking the camo coat layered look. As an up-and-coming musician wearing DARCY, she is pulling it off quite well.
